Who’s on the move: September 4, 2017

VersaCold Logistics Services has appointed Paul Merrick as senior vice-president and general manager of the CPX Business Unit. Merrick joins VersaCold with over 35 years of experience in operations management, supply chain and logistics, human resources, executive leadership, sales, and general management. Most recently, he was employed by Purolator Inc, where he held several senior positions including vice-president of field operations, director of operations, general manager for western Canada and general manager of British Columbia and Northern Alberta. Merrick holds a Certificate of Executive Leadership from Queen’s University and a General Arts Diploma from Humber College.

Jeff Harrison

Jeff Harrison has been promoted to business manager of Ametek Prestolite Power, a manufacturer of motive-powered battery chargers and other battery accessories used for industrial lift trucks and utility vehicles. In his new role, Harrison is responsible for overseeing the business unit’s growth in revenue and productivity globally. Harrison joined Ametek in 2010 as director of sales and marketing. Harrison brings more than 20 years of sales management experience to Ametek Prestolite Power. His career has included successful sales positions with Wiese Planning & Engineering, Heubel Material Handling, Termnet Merchant Services and MasterCard International. Harrison holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Missouri.

Shawn Cole

Shawn Cole has been appointed vice president of Delta Cargo. Cole is responsible for ensuring that the airline’s logistics division continues to deliver on superior commercial, financial and operational performance. Most recently Cole served as vice president – finance and corporate planning, where he demonstrated his extensive experience in leadership, financial planning, analysis and team coordination. He is well known for his dedication to servant leadership and his support for many community partners such as the Atlanta Children’s Shelter and Atlanta Public Schools. Cole, a native of High Point, North Carolina, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. He earned his Masters of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
