Who’s on the move: July 13, 2015

Michael Ham

Michael Ham is now general manager and vice president of Omnitracs Canada. As a highly accomplished executive with more than 20 years of experience in the wireless technology space, Ham will oversee the rollout and integration of Omnitracs’ technologies throughout Canada. Ham joins Omnitracs having previously served as vice president at Shaw Communications, a diversified communications and media company serving 3.2 million customers. Before Shaw Communications, Ham held positions with Rogers Communications and Motorola Solutions.

Rafik Souccar of Ottawa has joined the board of directors of the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) for a term of three years. Souccar was recently Chief Security Officer of the Royal Canadian Mint from 2011 to 2014. Prior to holding this position, he was a deputy commissioner of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) from 2008 to 2011, an assistant commissioner, Federal and International Operations, from 2005 to 2008, and chief superintendent and director general, Drugs and Organized Crime, from 2002 to 2005. He is a member of the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police, the Law Society of Upper Canada, the International Bar Association and the American Society for Industrial Security.

Eric Born will assume his duties as new group president & CEO of Swissport International (SPI) on 1 August 2015. He will succeed Per Utnegaard, who will take on the role of vice chairman of the Board of Directors of SPI. Prior to joining Swissport, Eric spent six years at Wincanton Plc, a logistics company headquartered in the UK. He joined Wincanton in 2009 as COO before he was promoted to CEO in 2010. Born is a Swiss national and holds a BBA from the University of Applied Science in Zurich and a MBA from Simon Business School at the University of Rochester NY. Utnegaard has been the group president and CEO of Swissport International Ltd for the past eight years.
