Who’s on the move: June 8, 2015

Lisa Vegso has been promoted to general manager, Canada for Peco Pallet. She reports directly to Adrian Potgieter and will have responsibility for sales, service and operations. Vegso will work with the service and operations teams to lead depot, transportation and distribution strategies in Canada, including acquiring and expanding depot services. Peco also plans to hire a new sales person for Eastern Canada, who will report to Vegso.

Katherine Mouzenian has joined Mississauga-based TSI Group Inc as its new research and marketing consultant. Joining the TSI team with several years of experience in marketing and communications in the not-for-profit sector, Katherine comes to us from Supply Chain Management Association Ontario (SCMAO), where she served as Communications Coordinator for almost two years.  She also served as Marketing and Communications Specialist for Supply Chain & Logistics Association Canada (SCL Canada) for three years.

Harvest Automation has added Craig Adkins to its Advisory Board. Harvest supplies mobile robots for a range of industrial applications with a platform that automates the heavy, repetitive work. Adkins has spent almost twenty years at the leading edge of e-commerce fulfillment operations including major roles at both Zappos and Amazon.  In addition, Craig was the Plant Manager at Yazaki North America, bringing process improvement and quality initiatives to their automotive parts distribution business.

Sanjiv Edward, Head of Cargo Business at Delhi International Airport has been named as the next Chairman of TIACA, with Sebastiaan Scholte, CEO of Jan de Rijk Logistics named Vice Chairman. The pair took over from Oliver Evans and Enno Osinga at TIACA’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Miami in May. Edward has worked in the aviation industry for over 18 years, including more than a decade with British Airways. He has served as a member of the high level Working Group constituted by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, India to formulate the Air Cargo Policy for India. He is one of the founding members of the Air Cargo Forum India and heads its Innovation Group. Scholte has worked in the air freight industry for over 18 years, including with Aeromexico where he was VP Sales. He held senior management roles with Cargolux for eight years from 2002, and took over as CEO at Jan de Rijk Logistics in 2010. He is Chairman of the Cool Chain Association.
