Appointments, promotions, moves and changes in the supply chain sector this week

Alan Gershenhorn has been appointed to Cargojet‘s board of directors and will stand for election at the Corporation’s Annual Meeting of Shareholders scheduled to be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. James Crane has resigned from the board. Paul Godfrey will act as interim independent chair of the Board. Gershenhorn brings over 40 years of experience in U.S. and international enterprise logistics to the Board. During his 39-year tenure at United Parcel Service, Inc., Gershenhorn was most recently executive vice-president and chief commercial officer through June 2018. Gershenhorn is currently a Principal of Horn Strategy Partners, LLC.

CN

CN has named Cyrus Reporter, a lawyer and public policy professional, as its new vice-president, government and regulatory affairs. In the past 25 years, he has served as a ministerial chief of staff, a lead adviser to the office of the prime minister, and, most recently, as a partner at a national law firm. Reporter will report to Sean Finn, CN executive vice-president of corporate services and chief legal officer.

Radial

Radial, a bpost group company, has appointed Laura Ritchey as chief operating officer, reporting to CEO Ilias Simpson. Ritchey comes to the role with more than 20 years of experience, including 13 years in supply chain management. Before joining Radial, she held leadership positions at L Brands, FullBeauty, and Centric Brands. Ritchey holds an MBA degree, Juris Doctor, and BA from the Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio and is a member of the Ohio Bar and Certified Public Accountant.

ASCM

The Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) has hired Douglas Kent as executive vice-president of strategy and alliances.Kent will oversee ASCM’s global partners and be responsible for global strategic alliances. He joins ASCM from CHAINovation, where he travelled the globe leading education and transformational programs. Previously, Kent co-led PwC’s Supply Chain Planning Center of Excellence. He also served as global vice-president at Avnet, Inc. Kent has been an instructor for the MSc of Business Consulting & Digital Transformation program for the last 13 years at the SKEMA Business School in France and will continue to be an adjunct faculty member there.
