Karen Cox has taken over as global director operations and safety at Swissport. She was appointed global director operations in July and reports directly to the CEO. Her role has now been expanded to include safety. Before joining Swissport, Cox was with easyJet for 18 years as director of ground operations and customer management centres. In this role, she worked closely with Swissport. Richard Scott has been appointed as interim Head of QHSE (quality, health, safety and environment). He will continue to develop the QHSE roadmap and report to Karen Cox.
David Griffin has joined Seegrid Corporation as chief sales officer (CSO). Griffin brings more than 25 years of executive experience overseeing complex hardware and software products at leading technology companies. Most recently, he served as an executive in Honeywell’s Connected Enterprise business. Before that Griffin held senior positions at Radiant Systems, NCR and ARCA Worldwide.
Emergent Cold Latin America (Emergent LatAm) has announced three senior hires. Pedro Moreira is chief financial officer. Moreira has held CFO roles across several logistics and technology-based companies and most recently was partner and CFO at Gulf Capital Partners, a Brazil-based investment company. He is based in São Paulo and reports to Neal Rider, CEO of Emergent LatAm. Evandro Calanca has been appointed managing director, Brazil. Calanca previously served as CEO of Comfrio, the largest cold storage group in Brazil. He will lead Emergent LatAm’s operations and investment opportunities in Brazil. He is based in São Paulo and also reports to David Palfenier, president of Emergent LatAm. Rafael Rocha is vice-president, Central America. Rocha oversees the company’s operations and investment opportunities in Central America and the Caribbean. He previously was managing director of Panama-based Galores Group, which Emergent LatAm acquired in August 2021. Rocha is based in Panama City and reports to Palfenier.
