Panalpina opens international locations

BASEL, Switzerland: Panalpina LLC is expanding its physical presence around the world.

The company is creating four new logistics offices in Prague, Singapore, Buenos Aires and New Jersey.

Referred to as Logistics Competence Centres, these facilities will provide customers with support for all aspects of their logistics operations, including tender and bid management, logistics solutions design, operations modelling and optimization and lean logistics excellence.

In addition to the four logistics centres, the company also opened its Supply Chain Solutions Centre in Frankfurt.

The German operation is designed to assist customers with supply chain improvements. According to the company, it will offer services that use assessment tools and benchmarking applications to compare individual supply chain performance to a wider set of industry peers with the goal of optimizing operational, managerial and financial practices.

“We analyze supply chains and make recommendations to eliminate the identified inefficiencies and to support the customer’s market or production strategy. It is all about cutting out process waste and reducing direct and indirect costs,” said Peter Karel, global head of supply chain solutions at Panalpina.
