Prince Rupert adds two services

Prince Rupert, BC: The number of container services calling at the Port of Prince Rupert’s Fairview Terminal is set to increase.

Cosco’s South China-US Southwest Coast Express (SEA) service—which recently dropped a call in Oakland—has added Prince Rupert to its port rotation with the first ship slated for a May 8 call. The new port rotation for that service is Nansha, Hong Kong, Yantian, Xiamen, Long Beach, Prince Rupert and Nansha. Cosco will continue to operate two other services, making some revisions in the rotations:

  • The China-US Northwest Coast Express service (CPNW) will operate in a rotation of Hong Kong, Yantian, Ningbo, Shanghai, Prince Rupert, Vancouver, Seattle, Yokohama and Hong Kong; and
  • The North China-US Southwest Coast Express Service (CEN) will have a rotation of Xingang (Tianjin), Dalian, Qingdao, Prince Rupert, Long Beach, Oakland, Yokohama and Xingang.

Hanjin is also adding a service called the Pacific Northeast Hanjin Express (PNH) Service. The rotation will be: Ningbo, Shanghai, Busan, Prince Rupert, Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, Busan, Kwangyang and Ningbo.
