Logistics real estate company Prologis broke ground on a new 496,192 sq. ft. industrial warehouse in Halton Hills, Ont., July 10, which will be one of three warehouses in Prologis Halton Hills Park.
With 16 team members and 35 buildings, the company supports 55 companies daily doing business in Toronto. The company builds, owns and manages modern and sustainable logistics facilities that create jobs, support businesses operating in the Toronto area and help deliver goods to residents and businesses.
Called Prologis Halton Hills Gateway, the new development is located at 8111-8119 Trafalgar Road, on the north side of Steeles Avenue and directly across the street from the Toronto Premium Outlet mall. The site will feature three buildings, offering an approximate total of 1.3 million sq. ft. of space. The buildings will also achieve a sustainable building certification.
“This is a significant investment in Halton Hills,” said Halton Hills mayor Ann Lawlor. “I’m delighted to see this project come to fruition and construction starting. Prologis has been an excellent partner throughout the development process, and we look forward to working with them in the future.”
“We are excited to build in Halton Hills. More businesses are looking for modern logistics facilities that are well-located and this site’s proximity to major highways and the GTA will appeal to many of our customers,” said Bill Bolender, country manager for Prologis. “Construction will continue for the next year, and we are actively seeking tenants.”
