Samsara expands Canadian operations with local data, logistics investments

Samsara Inc. says it is expanding its Canadian operations with new investments in data infrastructure, domestic logistics and workforce development programs.

The company said the expansion includes a dedicated Canadian data centre, domestic hardware fulfillment through a partnership with Ottawa Logistics and an asset lifecycle management collaboration with Element Fleet Management. Samsara said the initiatives are designed to support Canadian organizations facing regional operational challenges, including data residency requirements and remote connectivity needs.

“Our momentum in Canada is driven by a commitment to solving the specific, complex challenges our customers face every day,” said Liz Klein, director, Samsara, Canada. “By investing in homegrown infrastructure—from local data residency to domestic logistics—we are ensuring that Canadian organizations never have to choose between regulatory compliance and cutting-edge innovation. We are building a permanent ecosystem here that allows our customers to operate with total confidence within their own borders.”

The company said its Canadian data hosting infrastructure is intended to support organizations operating in regulated sectors, including public sector agencies and Crown corporations. Samsara said it has also introduced satellite connectivity services for fleets operating in remote regions and expanded its artificial intelligence safety tools, including weather intelligence features and driver coaching technology.

Samsara said it is also investing in workforce development through scholarship and training programs with organizations including Trucking HR Canada, the Alberta Motor Transport Association and the Toronto Transportation Club.

Customers in Canada are already seeing operational benefits from the company’s services, Samsara said.

“Making the switch to Samsara has been a game changer,” said Marco Goodridge, regional maintenance manager, Sterling Crane Canada. “We’re able to get accurate, instant data whenever we need it. The experience has been amazing for all of us.”
