After months of negotiations, Teamsters Canada members working at UPS have voted to accept the company’s final offer tabled at the end of July.
François Laporte, president of Teamsters Canada, praised the national bargaining committee for its work.
“Our bargaining team worked tirelessly over the past few months to represent and advocate for our members’ best interests. Their dedication and commitment have been exemplary, and we are grateful for their hard work on behalf of all our Canadian members employed at UPS,” he said.
Laporte added that from the beginning, “it is our members who will determine the outcome of the vote and the status of the agreement.”
The union said participation exceeded 75 per cent, a record level of involvement from UPS members across Canada.
The new five-year collective agreement, effective Aug. 1, 2025, includes increases to pay, pension and health and welfare benefits. It also introduces new language enhancements aimed at protecting jobs and providing employment security.
