Honda launches Fastport for last-mile delivery with electric micromobility vehicle

Honda has launched a new business unit aimed at revolutionizing last-mile delivery with an electric quadricycle designed for use in bike lanes.

The company announced the creation of Fastport, a business-to-business venture that will debut at Eurobike in Frankfurt, Germany, June 25-29 with plans to launch in North America later this year. Fastport will showcase the Fastport eQuad prototype, a zero-emission, pedal-assisted electric vehicle powered by swappable Honda Mobile Power Pack batteries.

Designed to improve urban logistics, the eQuad features regenerative braking, automatic parking brakes and a fully enclosed rider compartment with UV-coated canopy and ventilation.

“The Fastport team has worked tirelessly to create the Fastport eQuad, a zero-emission alternative to delivery vans that solves the challenge of last mile urban logistics by meeting the needs of urban residents expecting on-demand deliveries of packages, groceries and other items,” said Jose Wyszogrod, general manager and founding member of Fastport.

Fastport plans to begin first edition vehicle deliveries in North America and Europe in late 2025, with mass production set for summer 2026. The company is also offering a Fleet-as-a-Service platform that includes software-defined features, maintenance plans and AI-powered fleet management tools.
