TORONTO, Ontario—3SO, a not for profit organization providing shared services to member hospitals, and their strategic supply chain partner SCI Logistics, together have been nominated as one of six finalists for the Supply Chain Innovation Award.
The Supply Chain Innovation Award was established in 2005 to highlight and recognize the top players in the supply chain industry when it comes to innovative programs, projects, and collaboration. This global award program receives around 50 submissions each year. A panel of reviewers narrows down the submissions to select the top innovative teams which then become the finalists. The winner is then determined during the CSCMP’s annual conference.
The case study “Maximizing Supply Chain Value for South-Eastern Ontario Hospitals” entered for the award describes a unique and transformational supply chain model that has delivered immediate and sustainable value for the group of member hospitals: significant net savings, procurement savings, and reduction of regional inventory. The case study will be presented by Lyndon Smith, CEO of 3SO and Brent Hodgson of SCI Logistics during the CSCMP’s 2015 annual conference in San Diego. It will also be accessible to the CSCMP members at the Council’s website.
