TIP completes integration of Canadian acquistions

AMSTERDAM – TIP Trailer Services completed the merger of its Canadian divisions, Train Trailer Rentals and Trailer Wizards Ltd. on December 30, 2020.

The newly combined companies now operate as TIP Fleet Services Canada Ltd., or TIP Canada. National headquarters and corporate functions will operate out of the company’s Mississauga, Ontario location.

With this merger, TIP has integrated Trailer Wizards with its existing Canadian business, Train Trailer Rentals. The completed merger diversifies both the geographic footprint across Canada with the expansion of operations to new provinces, and the service segment with more specialized trailers.

TIP Canada offers trailer rentals, lease, sales and storage. It has a fleet of over 31,000 trailers, reefers, chassis and flatbed or drop-deck configurations. The business employs over 500 people, including approximately 300 mechanics, at locations from Prince Edward Island to British Columbia.

The new company will be under the same leadership, with existing contracts, services, terms and conditions remaining in place at the TIP Canada business.
