UniUni acquires Shippie to expand same-day delivery network

Last-mile delivery company UniUni has acquired and integrated Toronto-based regional delivery service Shippie to enhance its same- and next-day delivery capabilities across North America.

The deal combines UniUni’s delivery infrastructure with Shippie’s regional expertise and local team. UniUni CEO Peter Lu said the acquisition supports the company’s goal of building a high-speed, scalable delivery network.

“With the acquisition of Shippie, we’re not only expanding our network—we’re bringing in a talented, ambitious team that aligns with our vision,” Lu said.

As part of the acquisition, Shippie CEO Jax Zheng will join UniUni as director of strategic partnerships, focusing on industry collaborations to drive expansion.

“By combining our local business integration technology and same-day, next-day expertise with UniUni’s advanced logistics network, we’re unlocking new opportunities for efficiency and better service for Canadian and U.S. e-commerce brands,” Zheng said.

The acquisition is expected to strengthen UniUni’s position in the last-mile delivery sector.
