Canada Post has reinstated its on-time service guarantees for domestic parcels and returned to full-service levels, effective Jan. 6, following disruptions caused by holiday volumes.
The postal service announced it has stabilized operations nationwide, including in rural and remote areas, but continues to manage higher-than-normal volumes. While domestic parcels are now being processed and delivered on schedule, Canadians should expect several days of delays for letters, bills and statements.
Neighbourhood mail and international deliveries remain affected, with delays anticipated as Canada Post works through a backlog of accumulated items.
“We thank Canadians for their patience as we’ve worked to safely restore normal operations,” Canada Post stated.
Business customers relying on neighbourhood mail are advised to plan for several days of delays as processing continues.
