Dispatch Science launches platform to streamline carrier-shipper integration

Dispatch Science has launched a new integration platform aimed at helping carriers overcome the high costs and complexity of connecting with shippers.

The Montreal-based logistics software provider said its new cloud-native platform, DataBridge, removes barriers that prevent carriers from quickly onboarding new customers. The tool turns expensive integration projects into manageable tasks that carriers can implement without relying on large IT teams or costly third-party services.

“We’re seeing an increase in situations where carriers are forced to walk away from profitable business because the cost and complexity of integration makes it impossible to work with new shippers,” said Alex Proteau, chief technology officer and co-founder at Dispatch Science. “We built DataBridge because we believe carriers should compete on service quality, not on who can afford the most expensive IT projects.”

Hosted in Microsoft Azure, DataBridge enables secure, real-time data sharing between carriers and shippers, supporting everything from EDI transactions to spreadsheet uploads. It includes automation tools and prebuilt templates, and allows for drag-and-drop customization without technical expertise.

Proteau said the logistics sector is moving toward a future where “agility determines market leadership.”

“This level of real-time transparency will quickly become the new industry standard,” he said. “Once shippers experience it, they won’t go back. And DataBridge gives our customers the flexibility to act quickly, take on more business, and deliver the level of service today’s shippers expect.”
