Kardex unveils new tool to optimize warehouse operations

Kardex showcased several key innovations at ProMat 2025, including upgrades to its AutoStore solutions, a new strategic partnership and the launch of a tool to help optimize warehouse operations.

The company introduced enhancements to its FulfillX Warehouse Execution System (WES), which now includes Power BI integration for custom reporting, on-demand order picking for urgent requests, and enhanced inventory tracking. These upgrades are designed to accelerate AutoStore system performance, achieving significant operational results in as little as six months.

Kardex also unveiled a new Optical State Capture feature for its Intuitive Picking Assistant (IPA). This tool uses augmented reality to assist workers, providing real-time performance tracking and process optimization. The feature can analyze unwanted inventory adjustments, helping businesses identify and correct operational inefficiencies.

Further advancing its solutions, Kardex announced a partnership with Paccurate, a parcel packing intelligence company. This collaboration integrates intelligent cartonization into the FulfillX ecosystem, optimizing packing processes and reducing material waste while improving shipping efficiency.

In addition, Kardex launched the StoreX Calculator, a tool for simulating the benefits and ROI of AutoStore systems. First unveiled at the NRF show in New York, the StoreX Calculator provides customized, data-driven reports on performance based on key metrics like order volume, storage capacity and labour requirements.

Mitch Hayes, president of Kardex Solutions Americas, said, “ProMat 2025 has been an incredible opportunity to showcase how Kardex is driving innovation and helping businesses get the most out of AutoStore. Our focus remains on simplifying the design and deployment of AutoStore systems—whether it’s optimizing picking and packing workflows or introducing new tools like the StoreX Calculator.”

The company also displayed a fully operational AutoStore Cube Storage Retrieval System, marking its first appearance at the event.
