New product: Efficient electric forklift

HOUSTON, Texas—The Jungheinrich EFG 540k-S50 series of electric forklifts are able to operate for two shifts on a single battery charge.

According to manufacturer Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc the pneumatic tire trucks are 20 percent more efficient than the previous models.

The EFG 540k-S50 series can has a capacity ranging from 8,000-11,000lbs and the seven models in the series come with a variety of options including closed cabins, electronic power steering, keypad access, cold storage prep and dual pneumatic tires.

Standard cabin features include a three-way adjustable Grammer full-suspension seat, long right-side convenience tray with clipboard and cup holders, and a Solo-Pilot hydraulic lever control. The Multi-Pilot (unitized) hydraulic lever control is optional.

The forklifts can be used in both indoor and outdoor environments.
