NexSys battery now factory-installed for all Raymond class III lift trucks

READING, Pennsylvania – EnerSys’s NexSys Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) batteries are now available as a factory-installed option on all Raymond Class III lift trucks.

In 2015, The Raymond Corporation, a global provider of electric lift trucks, started offering the 137 Ampere Hour (AH) NexSys 12NXS137 battery for its 8210F45L pallet truck and 6210 Stacker models.

Now, the NexSys 12NXS85 (85 AH) and NexSys 12NXS170 (170 AH) are available for these Raymond vehicles as well, providing an Underwriters Laboratories (UL) “E” and “EE” rated NexSys battery power option for the full line of Raymond Class III pallet trucks and stackers.

“We are very pleased to see our collaboration with Raymond continue to develop,” said Chad Uplinger, general manager for specialty markets at EnerSys. “Two years ago, we introduced Raymond customers to the power and convenience of our NexSys TPPL batteries on select Raymond models. Now we can offer the NexSys batteries on any Raymond Class III lift truck.”

NexSys batteries deliver three times the lifecycle of conventional sealed batteries, offering a flexible, virtually maintenance-free energy solution for Class III pallet truck applications. The rugged construction of NexSys batteries use Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) separators for extreme shock and vibration resistance, making them well suited for high-use applications.

Classified as non-spillable electric storage batteries, NexSys TPPL batteries are constructed with 99 percent pure lead and provide unmatched performance across a wide range of temperatures, also making them ideal for cold storage applications.

Sue Rice, Raymond product manager, said, “Since 2015, we have offered our customers the added energy, reliability and longevity of the NexSys 12NXS137 battery directly from the factory. We’re now increasing the selection of NexSys battery solutions for Raymond walkie pallet trucks and stackers to include 137 and 170 AH power options to fit 7.8” and 9.0” battery compartments in both E and EE configurations.”

Depending on battery ampere hours and the charger, NexSys batteries can be fully recharged in as little as two hours and are designed for opportunity charging multiple times per day. Resulting benefits may include long battery life and reduced Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

NexSys batteries have a shelf life of up to two years at 68˚F and typically occupy up to 30 percent less space than the equivalent lead-calcium batteries due to the thin plate design’s high energy density properties.
