ShipStation integrates ShipEngine into new API, expands Canadian shipping options

ShipStation is consolidating its ShipEngine technology into a newly branded ShipStation API, a move aimed at streamlining resources and enhancing shipping solutions for developers, merchants and logistics teams.
The company, a provider of cloud-based shipping software under Auctane, said the transition will improve scalability and innovation, with the API evolving throughout 2025 to offer greater functionality. ShipEngine, which has supported more than one million users in 250 countries since 2017, will now operate under the ShipStation brand.
“ShipStation API is a major step forward in our mission to deliver best-in-class shipping solutions for all our customers’ needs,” said Kelly Vincent, chief product officer of Auctane.
ShipStation also announced new shipping features for Canadian businesses, including GlobalPost for international shipping, carbon-neutral deliveries through Sendle and enhanced insurance coverage via XCover. Additionally, an improved Purolator integration, FedEx International Connect Plus (FICP) for cross-border shipping and Saturday delivery through UPS are now available to Canadian users.
