SOTI says it has rolled out significant enhancements to its SOTI ONE Platform aimed at reducing mobile device downtime in the transportation and logistics sector.
The company unveiled the upgrades at its partner and user conference, SOTI SYNC 25, noting that device failures are a growing problem for logistics operators.
According to SOTI’s latest report, The Road Ahead: Driving Digital Transformation in T&L, Canadian logistics workers lose an average of 35 hours a month to device or app downtime. The report also found 57 per cent of workers experience increased stress, 40 per cent work overtime, 17 per cent of drivers feel pressure to drive faster and 26 per cent spend more than half a day resolving delivery issues.
“When mobile devices fail, the entire delivery process slows down and errors can increase,” said Shash Anand, SOTI’s senior vice-president of product strategy. “With our newest updates, we’ve focused on keeping devices available longer, making them easier for workers to use and giving the T&L sector greater real-time oversight. This ensures workflows stay efficient and deliveries remain on schedule.”
Among the new features are upgraded lockdown tools that let IT teams tailor role-based device access, an AI-powered assistant named Stella to help with troubleshooting and tighter ServiceNow integration through SOTI XSight for faster support. The platform also introduces advanced device tracking to prevent losses and improve recovery.
“In T&L, even small delays can have big consequences,” Anand said. “SOTI MobiControl XS equips operators with visualization tools and the insights needed to avoid downtime, operate more efficiently and keep deliveries moving without disruption.”
