Zipments launches no-code tools to help logistics firms manage cross-border trade complexity

A surge in regulatory changes and rising customer expectations is straining logistics providers’ ability to manage cross-border trade, prompting the launch of a new no-code digital toolset from Zipments.

The company says rapid shifts in U.S. and Canadian trade rules, tariffs and compliance requirements have led to growing demand for fast, digital responses, something many brokers, freight forwarders, carriers and trucking companies struggle to deliver using email, spreadsheets and phone calls.

Zipments has introduced its Widget Suite, a set of embeddable tools designed to provide instant answers to common trade questions, including duty estimates, tariff classification and shipment clearance status.

The tools can be added to a company’s website using a single line of HTML, allowing logistics providers to create self-service platforms without major IT investments, the company said.

“Our customers told us the same thing again and again: trade is getting more complex, questions are increasing, and they don’t have the tools to respond fast enough,” said Elvis Cavalic, general manager at Zipments. “The biggest players can invest heavily in technology. Most others can’t. We built this suite so any broker, forwarder, or carrier can offer instant trade tools on their own website – no developers, no long projects – and finally keep up with the pace of change.”

The suite includes tools for duty and tax calculation, HTS/HS classification, PAPS and PARS clearance status tracking, USMCA/CUSMA certificate generation and CARM financial security applications. Zipments said the widgets are updated regularly to reflect current U.S. and Canadian trade regulations.

The company said its tools are already in use by more than 20 logistics providers across North America and processed over 1.1 million customer trade inquiries in the fourth quarter.
