CHICAGO, Ill.–Celtic International announced the appointment of Carlos Godinez as director for the company’s Mexico intermodal service. Godinez will be responsible for managing and developing the company’s business throughout the US and Mexico, with an emphasis on Celtic Direct – a collaborative venture with third party logistics company Transplace to provide door-to-door intermodal service for US, Canadian and Mexican markets.
Prior to joining Celtic, Godinez served as commercial general manager for Schneider National de Mexico, where he was primarily responsible for customer relationships and country regional revenue, and profitability growth for multiple business units. Godinez’s other duties included customer service, operations, sales, pricing and lead generation. Previously, he was the transportation and logistics strategic senior purchasing manager for Procter & Gamble’s Latin America division.
“We are thrilled to have Carlos join our team,” said Celtic President Steve Golich. “He provides a vision that Celtic and Transplace need to grow and expand our intermodal business on both sides of the border.”
Transplace President & Chief Commercial Officer George Abernathy added, “Carlos brings more than 15 years of extensive experience that will benefit both Transplace and Celtic customers by allowing them to take advantage of the opportunities of intermodal services and better optimize transportation spend.”
