BRAMPTON, Ont.–Ontario-based Confederation Freezers announced it iss celebrating a milestone in their history of service to the temperature controlled storage and distribution needs of their customers. Founded in July of 1974, the family owned and operated enterprise has flourished by providing a very personalized service as they fulfill a vital link in their customers’ cold supply chain.
Co-founder and President Harry Greenspan comments, “My brothers Philip, Johnny and I grew up in our father’s meat packing business, so we were better prepared than most to begin this venture. Though my brothers have since passed away, our sons and grandson are in the senior management of the company now. We’ve kept the business in the Greenspan family and have added select individuals at a senior level to complement our skills and provide industry leading service to our customers. We are very proud of our progress over the last four decades.”
Along with ambient, cool and frozen storage capabilities, the firm has embraced current technologies to offer the latest in inventory control, EDI and customized reporting. Senior Vice President, Alan Greenspan explains,” The fundamental approach to our business remains the same. Compared to the largest players, I believe we are more accessible, flexible and reactive to customer concerns.” He adds, “We still compete with the consolidated PRW giants on a coverage and capacity basis. A national program can be implemented by incorporating a 4PL, network approach to expand our service options. We see this as a major growth area for our company in the future.”
