Milgram acquires M.O.T. Intermodal Shipping Inc.

MONTREAL, Que.–Milgram announced that on November 1st 2014 the company concluded its acquisition of M.O.T. Intermodal Shipping Inc., a Canadian freight forwarder based in Montreal, and M.O.T. Intermodal Shipping USA, Inc., an American freight forwarder and customs broker with one office in New York and one in Texas. 

The entire M.O.T. team is staying with Milgram including Mr. Ole Enderslev, previous owner and founder of M.O.T., the company announced. 

M.O.T. is a full service provider specializing in air and ocean exports from Canada and the USA, with a particular focus on Europe. They also handle freight to and from Asia and South America.

This is an important strategic expansion for Milgram for several reasons; it gives added strength in the European market; it gives  a physical presence in the USA; it compliments the company’s US customs brokerage service by adding a licence in the USA; it gives the company exposure to important new clients; it significantly increases the company standing in the export market; and it strengthens the management team as well, the release stated.

The acquisition benefits M.O.T. by giving them the support and resources they are looking for in sales, administration and technology solutions to manage and to grow their business.
