TORONTO, Ont.–The Supply Chain Student Case Competition put on by the Supply Chain Management Association is the perfect opportunity for undergraduate students enrolled in a business or supply chain program at a Canadian college to showcase their talents to some of the industry’s top firms.
You’ll have the opportunity to focus on resolving real-world strategic and tactical challenges through the examination of topics such as logistics, network design, procurement, relationship management, and sustainability. You and your team will study a business case and present your solution to a panel of judges consisting of business professionals, academics and corporate sponsors.
SCMA is seeking a company to provide a real life business case for the 2015 Supply Chain Student Case Competition. The ideal case will be global in nature and require both strategic thinking and tactical knowledge to solve. The company will need to provide the case background and any supporting data required to solve the issue. SCMA will draft the case based on your inputs.
During the case competition, undergraduate students from across Canada work in teams of four to explore a scenario pertaining to a supply chain problem. The teams develop recommendations based on their research, data analysis and study of financial implications. Students have approximately four hours to work through their recommendations before they present to the panel of judges, comprised of industry professionals and academic leaders.
