Online toolkit focuses on supply chain recruitment, retention

by Array

The Canadian Supply Chain Sector Council has launched a recruitment and retention toolkit aimed at helping both employers and job seekers.

Among its resources, the toolkit features a downloadable video showcasing the diversity of supply chain roles. Employers can use the video to welcome and motivate employees.

A PowerPoint presentation illustrates the significance of the supply chain to the Canadian economy.

The kit also includes:

•    career profiles providing stories from people working in the supply chain sector;
•    a supply chain map with links to career information by function;
•    a recruitment and retention resource guide;
•    a list of steps to follow in building a recruitment and retention plan, with resources related to each step.

The toolkit also features resources that look at attraction, retention, and workforce development from various perspectives. The model shows how factors involved in finding, keeping and developing workers are interconnected.
