WWL awarding $100,000 in grants

LYSAKER, NORWAY: Norwegian shipping and logistics provider Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics (WWL) will award $100,000 in grants this year to entrepreneurs working on zero-emissions technologies for shipping and port logistics.
WWL has also expanded the eligibility criteria for the Orcelle Grants to include alternative energy sources and energy-efficient technologies for commercial shipping and terminal operations.
“A raft of new environmental regulations are coming to shipping and logistics over the next decade,” said Arild Iversen, CEO of Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics. “By funding the Orcelle Grants, our aim is to stimulate innovation needed to meet these tough new environmental standards.”
Applications are welcome from around the world from inventors, entrepreneurs and technology developers. Successful proposals will be those with the greatest environmental and commercial potential.
