ABF unveils new Web site features for its customers

ABF Freight Systems says it is raising the bar on its already comprehensive Web site with a suite of logistics planning tools.

First, ABF will give customers the ability to develop their own historical reports, charts and graphs thus allowing them to examine shipping patterns and analyze specific distribution trends.

Next, ABF offers OptiPool, a logistics management tool that computes an optimum distribution point or stop-off sequencing for multiple LTL shipments moving within the North American system of ABF. The tool shows the savings over conventional LTL prices that the customer can obtain by tendering multiple LTL shipments at a single time.

Finally, Merge-in-Transit is a feature that allows the customer to stage the simultaneous delivery of shipments from different origin points.

ABF’s Website, abf.com, already allowed its customers to get price quotes, submit pickup requests, create BOL’s, track shipments, reroute in-transit shipments, view and print key documents like PODs, get customized statements and more.
