Air Canada, Canada 3000, Air Transat cancel flights system-wide

Air Canada and Canada 3000 have officially advised that as a precautionary measure it has suspended all flight departures system wide, effective immediately.

Air Canada flights currently airborne en route to the United States are being returned to Canada as a precautionary measure. All flights currently airborne en route to other international destinations will continue on to their final destination.

Canada 3000 has stated that any flights already en route to their destination across Canada will be allowed to land at their scheduled destination. All transatlantic and transpacific flights destined to the USA are being re-routed to Canadian airports. More details to follow. Air Transat has also released a statement announcing the suspending all flight departures, “as of now and for an indeterminate period of time.”The airline said all passengers affected by this measure will be re-accommodated on other flights.
