Air Canada introducing daily non-stop to Madrid and Amsterdam

Air Canada will start a daily non-stop service to Madrid beginning on April 7, 2002. The carrier will also resume daily summer service to Amsterdam beginning on June 1 until October 25. Flights on the new routes will be operated with wide-body Boeing 767-300 aircraft.

“Both Madrid and Amsterdam are important markets for travellers and freight forwarders to and from Canada, and both are currently underserved following the withdrawal of Canada 3000 from the market. This represents an excellent opportunity to introduce the only non-stop year-round service linking Toronto with Madrid, the gateway to the entire Iberian peninsula, as well as a summer service to Amsterdam,” said Marc Rosenberg, vice president of sales and product distribution at the airline.
