Air Canada to provide non-stop service from Toronto to Beijing

MONTREAL, Que.– Effective June 2 Air Canada will begin providing non-stop service between Toronto and Beijing, creating its first-ever direct link between eastern Canada and mainland China.

The airline plans to operate four non-stop flights per week from Toronto to the Chinese capital, said a statement.

Effective June 1, meanwhile, Air Canada will replace its Boeing 767-300ER service with a larger 282-seat A340-300 aircraft on its Vancouver-Shanghai route, boosting seating capacity by 16 % and providing freight forwarders with 45 % more cargo tonnage compared to last year.
