Airline executives to meet Transport Minister
Airline executives from the largest Canadian airlines are meeting Transport Minister David Collenette today to discuss the financial pressures faced by the industry.
Representatives from Canada 3000, WestJet, Air Canada, Air Transat, Skyservice and First Air will accompany Cliff Mackay, President of the Air Transport Association of Canada. The group is expected to brief the Minister on the impact of last week’s terrorist attacks, and to discuss the cost pressures and traffic declines now confronting the industry.
This meeting will cover the interests of the industry in general but does not replace individual submissions by the carriers themselves.
