Americana Ships and CTE launch East-West Mediterranean service

TMM Lines and Lykes Lines, managed by Americana Ships, have joined
forces with Compaa Trasatlntica Espaola (CTE) to launch a new
East-West Mediterranean service.

The service will cover both the east and west Mediterranean, as well as the Canary Islands.

The weekly service will operate over three loops with six ships of
between 500 and 1000 TEU at a service speed of 17.5 knots.

The port rotations are:
Loop 1: Valencia, Barcelona, La Spezia, Piraeus, Thessaloniki,
Istanbul, Gemlik, Izmir, Valencia
Loop 2: Valencia, Barcelona, La Spezia, Alexandria, Haifa, Mersin, Valencia
Loop 3: Valencia, Barcelona, La Spezia, Barcelona, Valencia, Cadiz,
Las Palmas, Tenerife, Cadiz, Valencia

The service will be launched in mid-March at the same time as Lykes
Lines and TMM Lines upgrade their US Gulf/Mexico-Mediterranean
service to weekly, from its current nine days.
