February 22, 2001

Canadian National has won The Outstanding Railroad Performance Award for 2000 from UPS Autogistics for its transportation of finished vehicles. UPS Autogistics manages the logistics of finished vehicle distribution for Ford Motor Company, among other clients, and presented the award to CN at UPS headquarters in Atlanta, Ga., at its first annual rail conference.

UPS Autogistics, a unit of the UPS Logistics Group, said CN won among Class 1 North American railroads based on its on-time performance, service design, equipment, communications and overall value.

“We’re honored by the award. The service plan is delivering consistent and improved transit times – major benefits for our customers. It also benefits CN by increasing rail productivity and asset utilization,” said Ed Harris, chief transportation officer for CN.
