Cancom offers 30% cost reduction on mobile communications

Pricing on Cancom Tracking’s OmniTRACS mobile communications system hardware has been reduced by up to 30% per unit, as of November 15th 2001.

Cancom officials say they hope that this limited-time reduction on OmniTRACS hardware pricing will help trucking companies address the security and economic challenges the industry is facing today.

Cancom, majority-owned and controlled by Shaw Communications Inc is Canada’s top mobile communications provider to the trucking industry.

Cancom is also the majority shareholder in Globalstar Canada, which is part of a group of service providers in over 100 countries that offers wireless voice and fax services via a low-earth-orbit (LEO) satellite system anywhere in the world.
