Cancom Tracking introduces new low-cost GPS product

Cancom Tracking has launched a new product, Route Tracker, which the company says fills industry requirements as a high quality, cost effective data solution.

This low cost GPS and engine diagnostic tracking system is ideal for private, dedicated, fixed routing and local fleets. Route Tracker offers GPS tracking, vehicle activity recording, incident recording and automated IFTA fuel and mileage reporting.

Route Tracker has been in the market for over two years. The ability to track actual vehicle miles and activity, monitor exceptions with automated reporting, increase driver productivity, and improve accident investigation, are a few benefits generated from Route Tracker, says Cancom.

This technology is designed so that once the truck is within 100 meters from the terminal, data is downloaded and detailed reports are automatically generated including information such as where the vehicle has been and how
it was driven. Other available reports include exception based reporting (excessive speed, stop times, service times, out of route miles) and incident recorder (for accident investigation and monitoring safety).
