Aroports de Montral has unveiled a new name for the cargo communities at Montral-Dorval and Montral-Mirabel international airports-Cargopolis. The name is meant to convey the vitality and scope of cargo operations in Montral as well as Aroports de Montral’s 24 hour commitment to serving cargo carriers.
“Together, Montral-Dorval and Montral-Mirabel form a state-of-the-art logistics platform. They have it all-location, infrastructure, services, development potential, transportation links, and a very competitive cost structure. Cargopolis captures the spirit and vibrancy of this shared vocation,” says Sophie Hennion, vice president of marketing and airline development for Aroports de Montral.
Cargo, long a mainstay at the city’s two international airports, received a further boost with the new Foreign Trade Zone at Montral-Mirabel and the airport’s ultramodern Cargo Transit Center and Perishable Products Facility.
