Cast appoints new agents in eastern Europe

Cast has appointed Maritime Transport & Agencies (MTA) as its agent in Russia, Poland, Latvia and Estonia, effective immediately.

The transatlantic shipping line already works with SMA, one of MTA’s subsidiaries, in Sweden.

Cargo to and from eastern Europe is transhipped through Hamburg or Antwerp on Cast’s weekly services into both of those ports.

Cast offers services on a three-loop route from Montreal, calling at Antwerp, Le Havre, Liverpool, Thamesport and Hamburg. It also offers services between Montreal and Naples, Genoa, Livorno, Gioia Tauro and Fos, taking slots on the Joint Mediterranean Canada Service (JMCS).
