Calgary, Alberta-headquartered CF ‘Managing Movement’ has formed a strategic alliance with U.S.-based Averitt Express through its Canadian LTL divisions, Canadian Freightways and Epic Express.
This move streamlines the Canadian Freightways and Epic Express partnership network in the U.S. by expanding the region serviced by Averitt Express.
The partnership leverages each company’s regional service to provide cross-border coverage through an expedited team service that links Canada and the U.S.
"The entrenched relationship will give our customers uninterrupted visibility of their transborder shipments. Customers can expect better transit times, improved service reliability and real-time visibility on our websites," said CF ‘Managing Movement’, President and Chief Executive Officer Darshan Kailly.
During the past two years, Canadian Freightways and Epic Express have worked to continually improve transborder service, extending promised on-time delivery to new states, improving service times and enhancing website tracking on U.S. shipments. Between Canada and the United States 98% of southbound shipments are delivered on-time and northbound 99% deliver on-time.
To support the partnership the companies will be implementing shared systems for paperwork, pickup, tracking, claims and customer care to provide seamless service to customers before the end of the year.
