ClearOrbit Extends Oracle WMS and MSCA Apps

ClearOrbit has launched it Orbiter Series, a solution for companies looking to extend the value of Oracle WMS (Warehouse Management System) and Oracle MSCA (Mobile Supply Chain Applications).

Orbiter allows companies to maximize the return on their investment in WMS and MSCA by providing a printing, device integration.

Because Orbiter leverages the Oracle e-Business Suite data model, no batch updates or interfaces are necessary; transactions and enhancements from Orbiter are automatically integrated into the WMS and MSCA environment in real-time.

The Orbiter Series combines a powerful print server with proven scalability and performance with an n-tier Unix-based, load-balancing server. A web-based management console provides real-time control over all printers and network hardware, including queue management and dynamic label reprint capabilities.

“Orbiter is a cleaver product. It adds functionality to Oracle’s WMS while protecting the upgrade path. At the same time, from the user’s point of view, everything is transparent; it looks like they are in the Oracle WMS. This product also has good bar code label compliance functionality for the High Tech and Automotive industries,” comments ARC Director of Supply Chain Research Steve Banker says.
