CP Ships starts new Asia-North America service

CP Ships has launched a new Asia North America service, the new MaxPac II, which connects south China and Hong Kong with Canada and the United States.

The new service calls at the ports of Hong Kong, Yantian, Vancouver and Oakland.

The eastbound transit time from Hong Kong to Vancouver is 13 days and 17 days to Oakland. Westbound, it takes 18 days to reach Hong Kong from Vancouver and 15 days to Hong Kong from Oakland.

A total of five vessels with an average capacity of 1,750 TEU will be deployed on the fixed once weekly service that was launched in March with the maiden voyage of the Canmar Fortune.

The new Asia North America service is jointly operated with CP Ships’ subsidiaries, Lykes Lines and TMM Lines.
