CPR sets up investor relations group
Canadian Pacific Railway has established an Investor Relations group to take over the function that Canadian Pacific Limited has carried out on its behalf,. The move is in preparation for CPR’s planned spin-off this fall from Canadian Pacific Limited, subject to shareholder approval.
Paul Bell has been appointed Vice-President Investor Relations. An experienced business and railway industry professional, Mr. Bell has held senior executive positions in railway operations and has successfully launched and led groundbreaking transportation efficiency and service initiatives. He will be responsible for building and managing relationships with current and prospective retail and institutional shareholders, analysts and others in the capital markets.

His store of railway knowledge and proven skills in clearly summarizing and communicating business strategies, will make him a valuable channel for analysts and shareholders who need to make informed investment decisions,” said Robert Ritchie, CPR President and CEO.
