CT&L launches third annual Transportation Buying Trends Survey
TORONTO, Ont. — Canadian Transportation & Logistics, in partnership with the Canadian Industrial Transportation Association and the CITT, has launched the third annual Transportation Buying Trends Survey.
Our readers tell us that contract negotiations with transportation providers the last couple of years proved the toughest in recent memory. Despite improving capacity in coming months, high fuel costs and a determined effort by carriers to maintain recent surcharge and rate gains, will make 2007 another challenging year,” said editorial director Lou Smyrlis. “To ensure your needs are met you need to be up to date on the latest transportation service buying trends and benchmarks. That’s exactly what our third annual Transportation Buying Trends Survey, conducted in partnership with the Canadian Industrial Transportation Association and CITT, is designed to research.”
Some of the questions the survey will attempt to answer, include:
What’s the industry average for carrier rate increases for each mode?
What is the capacity situation for each mode?
Which surcharges are the most common?
What’s the impact of fuel costs on rates?
How will shipment volumes fare for the coming year?
