DHL and Northwest cargo to provide Asia services

DHL Worldwide Express (DHL) and Northwest Airlines Cargo (NWA Cargo) will join forces to provide services linking the US and Asia.

The multi-million dollar deal will see DHL consolidating its leading market position in the Asia Pacific region.

On July 16, DHL begins new cargo routes Cincinnati and Los Angeles, and its operations in Tokyo, Osaka, Beijing, Shanghai, Seoul, Hong Kong, Taipei, Manila, Bangkok, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.

NWA will launch services from Cincinnati to Asia using two newly-acquired Boeing 747s. DHL will have priority access to block capacity on these aircraft.
