DHL introduces new software shipping solution

PLANTATION, Fla.DHL has launched its software shipping solution, EasyShip(R) Professional, designed for use by small and medium-sized (SMB) business shippers.

EasyShip(R) Professional automates the entire shipping process quickly and easily, for customers that prefer to use their own computer hardware.

“As part of our campaign to improve and enhance the customer experience, we developed the fastest, most user-friendly shipment processing system designed for SMB business shippers that prefer to work off-line using their own computer hardware,” said Michael Heilman, Vice President of eCommerce for DHL.

“We partnered with our customers in development of this product to meet their critical shipping needs through a platform that provides seamless access to a full suite of DHL domestic and international products and services,” he said.

DHL EasyShip(R) Professional is a complete, stand-alone shipping application, which can be installed on a customer’s PC to process shipments offline, without a constant Internet connection to DHL servers. DHL EasyShip(R) Professional offers: easy storage and retrieval of address information, connectivity options to easily interface with your computer systems to import/export shipment and/or address data, rating and service estimates, tracking of shipments by waybill number or customer reference number, automated email notifications to customers at the time of shipment, enhanced reporting that allows viewing and printing of summary and detailed activity reports, and 24/7 technical support.

DHL EasyShip(R) Professional also provides batch integration via data import/export utilities and real-time integration through DHL DB Connect utility.
