Geodis and Grenzebach are launching a goods-to-person robotics program. Over the past year, the two have partnered in a pilot program for a large consumer electronics customer at Geodis’s Nashville, Tennessee campus, which uses automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and mobile storage units (MSUs). Following the success of the trail, the 3PL and robotics maker are now introducing the robotics program to additional clients.

Instacart today partners with more than 350 national, regional and local retailers to offer delivery from over 25,000 stores across more than 5,500 cities in the U.S. and Canada.

Port Tampa Bay received a US$19.8 million grant as part of the US Department of Transportation’s INFRA Grant program to expand its container complex with a new, 1,300-foot-long berth and a 30-acre container yard. The project will expand container capacity by 60 percent, increase the number of deep draft container vessels the port can receive, improve efficiency with a state-of-the-art truck gate, and improve rail access.
