Emirates cargo division has virtual website

The Emirates’ cargo division now features a virtual tour of the new Emirates SkyCargo Centre at the airline’s Dubai hub.

The airline says the site provides users with more information about cargo-related products and services, simpler navigation and greater transparency of cargo operations.

The home page of the new web site also features SkyChain, Emirates’ cargo division’s logistics and information management system, as well as details of the airline’s trucking system, the airlines’ latest press releases, its quarterly newsletter and a cargo tracking facility.

The virtual tour gives viewers a look inside a facility that incorporates a number of innovative features such as the Telxon hand-held terminals which scan and send data by radio frequency. The web site can be accessed at www.sky-cargo.com.
