Famous Pacific starts dedicated Pacific island services

Through its offices in New Zealand, Australia and Fiji, the Famous Pacific Shipping Group (FPS) has launched two new direct shipping services specifically to meet the needs of businesses trading with the Pacific Islands from Asia and Australasia.

From Auckland, FPS New Zealand has launched a new weekly service providing a direct link to Fiji with onward connections to other islands including Kiribati, Wallis Island and Funafuti. This service, which offers a four-day transit time to Suva, can handle FCL and LCL shipments, breakbulk cargo and heavy loads such as road making equipment.

In addition, FPS Australia, from its offices in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney, has started a weekly freight all kinds (FAK) service to Fiji to meet the needs of Australian shippers exporting their goods to Pacific Island markets.

"In another move FPS New Zealand has recently opened a new office in Christchurch, the main business centre of South Island.
