FedEx Canada says focus on recovery
Since FedEx Canada received approval to resume moving packages and freight by
air on Friday night (Sept. 14), the company has subsequently arranged an additional five incremental flights to connect Canadian customers to key international markets.
“Our focus right now is on helping Canadian businesses recover from
Tuesday’s tragedy. We will maximize loads on all available flights and run our operations 24-hours to expedite customers’ shipments,” said Don Colleran, President, Federal Express Canada Ltd.
FedEx Canada has also reinstated all money-back guarantees and the company is offering normal pickup and delivery including service for hazardous material and perishable goods, and FedEx First Overnight(R).
“We have geared up to help those businesses who may find their traditional transportation providers unable to meet their demands as a result of this situation. Our express, air cargo and ground services are operating at their normal high levels of service,” said Colleran.
